Refund Policy

This Refund Policy describes how cancellations, refunds, and free trials work for VG Real Estate CRM subscriptions. It forms part of our Terms of Service. It applies to all plans purchased from VG-Real Estate Services Inc., a corporation registered in Canada with its registered office in Toronto, Ontario.

1. Free Trial

New Starter plan subscribers are eligible for a 7-day free trial. No charge is made during the trial. You may cancel at any time during the trial by visiting the billing portal; your account will revert to the Free plan without any charge.

If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription converts to a paid Starter plan and the first month's fee (plus applicable HST) is charged on the day the trial expires.

Free trials are limited to one per person and per brokerage. We may refuse trials to accounts that appear to be duplicates or created to circumvent this limit.

2. Monthly Plans

• Monthly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle.
• No refunds are issued for partial months or for unused time. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle and you retain full access until then.
• If you are charged after cancelling but the cancellation was recorded before renewal, contact support@vg-realestate.ca within 14 days for a reversal.

3. Annual Plans

• Annual subscriptions are billed up-front for 12 months, at a discount versus monthly.
• If you cancel an annual plan before the term ends, you are eligible for a pro-rata refund of the unused months, less any discount applied (we refund the effective monthly rate, not the full 1/12 of the annual price).
• Pro-rata refunds are calculated from the next full calendar month after your cancellation request. Partial months are not refunded.
• Annual plans downgraded to a lower tier are credited pro-rata toward the remaining term; no cash refund is issued for downgrades.

Example: You purchased a Pro annual plan for CAD $760 (equivalent to ~$63.33/month). After 5 months you cancel. We refund 7 months × $63.33 = $443.33, less any HST already remitted that cannot be recovered.

4. How to Cancel

• Sign in to the CRM → Billing → Manage subscription, or use the Stripe billing portal link from any invoice.
• You may also cancel by emailing support@vg-realestate.ca from the email address on your account.
• We confirm every cancellation by email. If you do not receive confirmation within 2 business days, please contact support.

5. Taxes (HST)

Canadian sales tax (HST/GST/PST) is calculated and collected at checkout by Stripe Tax. When we issue a refund, the applicable tax portion is refunded together with the fee. Tax refunds are reported to the Canada Revenue Agency on our next HST return.

6. Chargebacks

Please contact support@vg-realestate.ca before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We can almost always resolve billing issues directly and more quickly. Accounts that issue chargebacks on legitimate charges may be suspended pending review and may become ineligible for future service.

7. Exceptional Circumstances

We may, at our sole discretion, grant refunds outside this policy in exceptional circumstances, such as extended service outages caused by us, double billing, or demonstrable fraud. Submit such requests to support@vg-realestate.ca with relevant details.

This policy does not limit any rights you may have under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act or other applicable Canadian consumer-protection law.

8. Processing Times

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe within 5 business days. Depending on your card issuer, funds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days after that.
